Overview

Eden Scott is proud to partner with a leading UK renewable energy developer as they continue to expand their onshore wind portfolio. We are seeking an experienced Construction Site / Project Manager to oversee the delivery of an onshore wind project. This is a site-based role that will play a pivotal part in ensuring the safe, high-quality, and efficient construction of the project, from initial groundwork through to turbine installation.

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to contribute to the UK’s clean energy transition while working with a dynamic and forward-thinking team.

Responsibilities

As the Construction Site / Project Manager, you will:

  • Lead all site construction activities, ensuring adherence to programme timelines, budget constraints, and safety standards.
  • Manage construction schedules, resources, and sequencing to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Provide technical oversight and ensure compliance with UK engineering and quality standards.
  • Oversee contractor performance, addressing and resolving site-based challenges as they arise.
  • Facilitate coordination meetings and support contract and change management processes.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, suppliers, and local stakeholders.
  • Promote and uphold UK Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) compliance, fostering a proactive safety culture on-site.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • Proven experience in managing the construction of complex onshore wind projects.
  • Strong technical expertise in civil, electrical, and wind turbine generator (WTG) installation activities.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • A thorough understanding of UK engineering, quality, and HSE standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage construction schedules, budgets, and resources effectively.
  • A proactive and solutions-oriented approach to problem-solving.

Day-to-Day

Your daily responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing and coordinating all on-site construction activities.
  • Monitoring contractor performance and ensuring adherence to project specifications.
  • Conducting regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Managing project timelines and budgets, ensuring milestones are met.
  • Collaborating with engineering, commercial, and HSE teams to address project needs.
  • Engaging with local stakeholders and maintaining positive relationships with all project partners.
