About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Accounts Assistant to join a busy Finance Team on a temporary 12-month basis. This role supports the Business Support Team and collaborates with internal stakeholders to meet business needs and deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Payable

Logging, authorising and processing supplier invoices

Managing payments of supplier and intercompany invoices, including monthly and ad-hoc payment runs

Resolving supplier disputes and queries

Reviewing supplier statements

Maintaining supplier records on the ledger

Cash Management

Processing monthly direct debits and standing orders

Allocating and posting cash receipts to the sales ledger

Performing monthly bank reconciliations for four multi-currency accounts

Processing customer refunds

Managing payments to sister companies for misallocated customer receipts

Accounts Receivable

Daily maintenance of the Debtors Sheet

Raising credit notes in Dynamics AX and Insphire

Performing credit control activities

Maintaining the sales ledger

Travel Expense Management

Acting as main contact for the external Travel Management Company

Managing the company travel expense card processes (Airplus)

Processing and matching Airplus invoices to travel management invoices

Processing and paying employee expense claims

Other Responsibilities

Processing journal vouchers

Managing emails in the Accounts inbox

Completing month-end close activities related to AP and AR

Preparing monthly balance sheet reconciliations for AP and AR

Essential Qualifications & Skills

Up to 1 year of experience in an Accounts role

Basic Microsoft Office skills

Desirable Qualifications & Skills

Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Ability to plan, organise and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Works effectively both independently and within a team

Customer-focused approach
