A highly respected Chartered Independent Financial Planning firm based in central Edinburgh is seeking a Chartered – or close to Chartered – Financial Adviser to join their expanding team. This opportunity has arisen due to sustained, organic growth and an increasing demand for truly holistic financial planning services.
The firm is renowned for delivering genuinely client-centred advice, underpinned by strong ethics, technical excellence, and long-term relationship building. Their planners take a comprehensive approach, helping clients align their financial decisions with their personal goals, values, and life ambitions. As part of a fully independent and chartered practice, the successful adviser will enjoy the freedom to provide whole-of-market advice and the support of a highly skilled paraplanning and administrative team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver holistic, lifestyle-focused financial planning to a diverse and loyal client base
- Build and maintain long-term client relationships, taking time to understand each client’s unique objectives
- Provide independent advice across pensions, investments, protection, tax planning, and broader financial strategy
- Work closely with paraplanners and support staff to ensure high-quality client outcomes
- Uphold the firm’s chartered standards and commitment to professionalism, accuracy, and ethical advice
About the Candidate:
- Chartered Financial Planner status, or working towards completion (near-chartered individuals encouraged to apply)
- Strong technical knowledge and a passion for creating meaningful financial plans
- A client-centric mindset with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A collaborative approach and a desire to contribute to a growing, values-driven firm
- Experience working within a holistic or independent advice environment is highly desirable
What’s on Offer:
- The opportunity to join a chartered, fully independent firm with an outstanding professional reputation
- A supportive environment with exceptional technical and administrative resources
- A role shaped around quality rather than quantity, allowing advisers to focus on delivering excellent client outcomes
- Competitive remuneration with clear long-term growth potential
- Client base available to further expand
This is a rare opportunity for a motivated adviser to join a forward-thinking firm that places integrity, personalised planning, and client wellbeing at the heart of everything they do. Please get in touch for a confidential discussion about the role and potentially other opportunities in the area with Alison Curran prior to progressing.
