Senior financial advice administrator

A well-established, independent financial adviser firm based in central Edinburgh, specialising in holistic financial planning, is seeking to appoint an experienced Technical IFA Support Administrator to join its support team.  This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a professional, client-focused practice that is entering an exciting period of transition and development.

The successful individual will provide comprehensive technical and administrative support to the adviser, ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the advice process. Duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Preparing client meeting packs and related documentation
• Liaising with product providers, platforms, and third parties
• Supporting with basic suitability and technical report preparation
• Managing adviser diaries and coordinating client appointments
• Acting as a point of contact for clients, handling queries in a professional and timely manner
• General IFA administrative duties throughout the client lifecycle

The firm is looking for a professional, reliable, and mature individual who is comfortable taking responsibility for tasks and managing workloads independently. Key requirements include:

• A minimum of a few years’ experience (ideally 5) working within an IFA or financial planning firm
• A solid grounding in the financial services industry and adviser support processes
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Confident communication skills when dealing with clients and providers
• A proactive, team-focused approach

Progress toward CII or equivalent financial services exams would be advantageous, though this is not a prerequisite.
