Are you a skilled developer looking for an exciting opportunity to work on meaningful projects? We are seeking a .Net Software Developer to join a small, dynamic IT team in Livingston on an initial 12-month fixed-term contract.

This role will primarily involve maintaining existing applications and learning the business logic behind them, with a view to eventually contributing to updates and enhancements. It will be an opportunity to deepen your technical expertise while gaining insight into complex business processes.

What You will Do

• Maintain and support existing software applications with the core focus on websites.
• Learn and understand the business logic behind the systems.
• Collaborate with product managers and technical leads to discuss requirements and architecture.
• Test products before release and ensure quality standards.
• Contribute to future updates and improvements.

Your background

• Relevant IT qualification and 5+ years’ experience in a developer role.
• Strong skills in C#, ASP.NET MVC/Core, and ideally some experience in WinForms development ( will consider candidates without this).
• Solid understanding of databases and SQL (Entity Framework, ADO.NET).
• Familiarity with JavaScript SDKs and modern frameworks (Blazor/SPA/PWA experience is a plus).
• Knowledge of Windows OS architecture and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team with high attention to detail.
