A highly respected Chartered Independent Financial Adviser firm in the heart of Edinburgh is seeking an experienced Senior Paraplanner to join its growing team. This opportunity has arisen due to ongoing expansion and offers the chance to work within a client-focused, award-winning business that prides itself on delivering exceptional financial planning and advice.

The firm is well-established, fully independent, and holds Chartered status. It is committed to providing bespoke financial planning solutions and has built a reputation for integrity, professionalism, and a genuine passion for helping clients achieve their financial goals.

The Senior Paraplanner will play a pivotal role in supporting advisers and ensuring the highest standards of technical accuracy and compliance. Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing detailed suitability reports and recommendations across pensions, investments, protection, and tax planning.
  • Conducting in-depth research and analysis to support complex client cases.
  • Liaising with advisers and clients to ensure smooth delivery of advice.
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of legislation, compliance requirements, and market developments.
  • Mentoring and supporting junior paraplanners within the team.

Skills required:

  • Diploma in Financial Planning (Level 4) required; Chartered or working towards Chartered status highly desirable.
  • Minimum 3+ years’ experience in a paraplanning role within an IFA environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge across pensions, investments, and tax planning.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage complex cases.
  • Proactive, professional, and client-focused approach.
