A leading chartered independent financial adviser firm in central Glasgow have new position for an experienced paraplanner to join their industry leading team. The Paraplanner will play a key role in the delivery of technical research, report drafting, and preparation of planning documents. Working closely with advisers, this individual will help ensure clients receive accurate, timely and well-constructed financial recommendations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Preparing clear and comprehensive financial planning reports, including suitability letters and technical summaries
- Supporting advisers by gathering, analysing, and presenting data for client meetings
- Preparing cashflow models and assisting in the development of holistic financial plans
- Reviewing client information and portfolios ahead of review meetings, and briefing advisers with relevant findings
- Conducting technical research and obtaining product information or illustrations from providers
- Liaising with clients on non-regulated matters, ensuring a professional and friendly service
- Assisting with general administrative tasks to support smooth office operations
- Taking part in client meetings when needed, recording key actions and helping maintain accurate client records
- Upholding the firm’s commitment to confidentiality and high professional standards
The firm actively supports paraplanners who wish to progress towards advanced professional qualifications, including Chartered or Certified Financial Planner status, and encourages continuous personal development.
This position requires someone who:
- Has strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Level 4 qualified, or close to obtaining with report writing experience
- Communicates clearly, both in writing and verbally
- Enjoys solving complex problems and supporting the wider advisory team
- Can manage multiple tasks while maintaining high standards of accuracy
- Is committed to professional growth and delivering excellent client service
