An award winning chartered financial planning firm in the city centre is seeking an experienced Paraplanner to join its industry leading advisory support team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys analytical work, values precision, and thrives in a collaborative environment dedicated to delivering high-quality, holistic financial planning in a forward thinking business.
The Paraplanner will play a central part in supporting financial planners by evaluating client information, carrying out research, and preparing clear, well-structured advice documentation. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, is confident interpreting financial data, and is committed to maintaining high standards in advice processes. Working very closely with the adviser aligned with, their paraplanners are directly rewarded for team performance as a highly valued member of the team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and organise client information to ensure it is complete, accurate, and ready for analysis.
- Work closely with advisers to clarify client goals, priorities, and planning needs.
- Analyse financial data, including assets, liabilities, and cashflow inputs, to support detailed forecasting and planning.
- Research a range of financial products and planning opportunities to identify appropriate solutions tailored to client circumstances.
- Produce well-written reports and supporting documents that help advisers deliver clear and compliant recommendations.
- Assist with the administrative steps required to implement advice, including preparing documentation and updating client records.
- Contribute positively to team knowledge by sharing insights and developments relevant to financial planning.
Skills required:
- Strong understanding of the financial planning process and the wider financial services environment in another IFA, investment or wealth manager
- Minimum diploma qualified
- Confident researching and interpreting financial information and products.
- Excellent written communication skills with the ability to present technical information clearly.
- Highly organised, able to manage multiple tasks, and comfortable working within established processes.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify inconsistencies or issues proactively.
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a supportive team.
- Confident using common office software and digital tools.
