Global Consultancy | Close-Knit Ecology Team

Are you an early-career ecologist looking to take the next step in a supportive, collaborative team - while still benefiting from the stability and opportunities of a global consultancy? This role offers the best of both worlds.

Were looking for an Ecologist to join our Inverness office, working as part of a friendly, close-knit ecology team of around 25 across Scotland. Youll be joining a group that genuinely supports each other, shares knowledge openly, and works together on a wide range of projects.

What Youll Be Working On

Youll gain exposure to a diverse mix of projects across the renewables, utilities and residential sectors, including:

  • Supporting ecological surveys and fieldwork across the Highlands and beyond
  • Contributing to ecological assessments and reporting
  • Working closely with senior ecologists to deliver high-quality, practical advice
  • Getting involved in protected species work, including bat surveys
  • Supporting tree-climbing surveys (experience preferred)
  • Helping deliver ecological inputs throughout project lifecycles

No two weeks look the same - the variety is one of the biggest draws of the role.

What Were Looking For

Ideally, youll bring:

  • 12 yearsexperience in ecological consultancy or a similar role
  • Experience conducting bat surveys
  • Tree-climbing experience (highly desirable)
  • A good grounding in ecological fieldwork and reporting
  • A positive, proactive approach and willingness to learn
  • Full UK driving licence
