Join a leading UK environmental consultancyan established brand known for expert advice, industry-leading project delivery, and a national reach. With around 180 staff and a strong reputation across ecology, planning, and sustainability, this is a chance to be part of a team making a real impact.

Based in Glasgow, youll lead ornithological work across renewables, infrastructure, housing, and habitat restorationcombining fieldwork, reporting, client liaison, and mentorship.

While most projects are based in Scotland, you'll also have the chance to support teams across the UKoffering fresh challenges and valuable training as you explore new regulations, study different species, and work across varied landscapes.

What Youll Do

  • Design and deliver bird survey programmes (BBS, winter, species-specific, vantage point, offshore)
  • Write high-quality reports, EcIAs, HRAs, and tenders
  • Develop mitigation strategies and provide practical advice
  • Manage budgets, schedules, and client relationships
  • Provide site supervision and ECoW duties
  • Mentor junior ecologists and technicians

What Youll Bring

  • 3+ yearsexperience in ornithology (consultancy, NGO, contractor, or regulator)
  • Strong skills in bird survey methods and data analysis
  • Proven experience writing EcIAs, HRAs, or planning reports
  • CIEEM membership or eligibility preferred
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
  • Confident communicator with solid project management skills
