People & Development Adviser
Location: Aberdeen (Hybrid/Flexible Working Available)
Hours: 35 hours per week
About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and people-focused People & Development Adviser to join a progressive organisation's People Team. This role would suit an established HR Adviser or an ambitious HR Coordinator looking to take the next step in their career and broaden their exposure to employee relations, people projects, organisational development and strategic HR activities. Reporting to the People & Development Manager, you will provide high-quality advice, guidance and coaching across a diverse workforce.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide expert advice on employee relations matters.
• Lead end-to-end recruitment and onboarding activities.
• Support and develop junior team members.
• Generate and analyse people metrics and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with employment legislation and vetting requirements.
• Lead on job evaluation and organisational change support.
• Champion engagement, wellbeing and learning initiatives.
• Support managers through grievance, disciplinary and performance processes.
• Contribute to HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
About You
• Experience in an HR advisory, HR coordinator or generalist HR role.
• Strong understanding of employment law and HR best practice.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong organisational and analytical capabilities.
• Experience supporting recruitment and employee lifecycle activities.
• CIPD qualification or working towards qualification is desirable.
• Experience supervising or mentoring others is advantageous.
