Eden Scott’s client is a highly regarded investment organisation based in Edinburgh, managing significant assets on behalf of a wide range of stakeholders. The Investment Administrator will provide comprehensive administrative and operational support to the investment management team, along with wider business support on an ad hoc basis. With specialist investment-related knowledge and strong organisational skills, the role acts as a key link between front office investment teams, back office and accounting functions, as well as internal and external stakeholders.
This is a varied and fast-paced role, ideal for someone with experience in investment environments who enjoys working at the centre of operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide support to the team in preparation for Joint Investment Forum meetings, including the production and collation of quarterly reports
- Provide secretarial support and minute-taking for investment group meetings and other ad hoc meetings
- Prepare and deliver monthly, quarterly, annual and ad hoc investment reports, including valuation reporting for internally managed portfolios
- Ensure all investment-related information on the organisation’s website is accurate, accessible and up to date
- Contribute to the FOI process by sourcing relevant information and coordinating responses for the investment management team
- Assist the Head of Investment Operations with supplier management, business continuity arrangements, and administration relating to the front office order management system
- Provide support to investment team members with diary management, travel and accommodation arrangements, and meeting or webcast coordination
- Coordinate attendance at industry conferences and events, managing both internal and external participants
Experience and Skills Required
- Previous experience in a similar administrative or business support role, ideally within an investment environment
- Familiarity with the end-to-end trade lifecycle across multiple asset classes (desirable)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Good numerical ability with high attention to detail
- Excellent administrative and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
- Proven ability to deliver accurate and timely reports
- Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
- Investment Operations Certificate (IOC), or willingness to work towards this qualification
