Are you an analytical, collaborative, and people-focused Business Analyst (Change) looking to make a meaningful impact? We’re looking for a motivated professional to join our Operations team in Edinburgh and support the delivery of key projects and strategic initiatives that shape the future of our Bank.

Eden Scott is currently recruiting for Business Analyst (Change) for someone who thrives in a change-driven environment, enjoys working with stakeholders across the business, and wants to play a central role in improving processes, enhancing client experience, and supporting effective project delivery.

About the Role

As a Business Analyst, you’ll work closely with stakeholders across the Bank to understand business needs, translate them into clear requirements, and support the successful delivery of change initiatives. You’ll analyse processes, identify areas for improvement, and help ensure solutions are aligned with strategic objectives and operational realities.

Your work will help drive continuous improvement, strengthen controls, and ensure changes are delivered efficiently, accurately, and with the client firmly in mind.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate business processes to anticipate needs, identify inefficiencies, and recommend improvements.
  • Produce clear, structured business requirements to support solution design, development, and testing.
  • Develop user stories and use cases in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Assess current “as-is” business and technical processes and highlight enhancement opportunities.
  • Facilitate workshops and stakeholder meetings to gather insights and validate requirements.
  • Support testing and UAT to ensure business needs are fully met.
  • Provide guidance to business users throughout project and change lifecycles.
  • Contribute to project and change governance, including planning, reporting, and RAID management.
  • Maintain strong controls, uphold process standards, and ensure compliance—including Treating Clients Fairly.

We’re looking for someone who brings a blend of analytical rigour, communication skills, and a passion for improvement.

Person Specification

  • Analytical and detail-focused, with strong requirements-gathering skills
  • Comfortable using both written and visual documentation tools
  • Knowledgeable about project methodologies and the full project lifecycle
  • Confident engaging with and constructively challenging stakeholders
  • Able to coach and support colleagues unfamiliar with change processes
  • A proactive problem-solver with a continuous improvement mindset
  • Comfortable working on multiple projects at varying stages
  • A strong communicator who can engage at all organisational levels
  • A reliable, self-motivated team player who works well under pressure
  • Committed to delivering excellent internal and external client service

Experience within Financial Services or Banking

  • Opportunity to contribute to meaningful, organisation-wide change
  • Collaborative, supportive environment with exposure across the business
  • Opportunities for professional development and growth
  • A role where your insight and ideas will directly shape the client experience and operational efficiency

If you're a proactive Business Analyst with a passion for improving processes and supporting successful change, we’d love to hear from you.
