Financial adviser
- Edinburgh
- 60,000 - 68,000 Annual
- Permanent
TL Dallas is a long-established, independent business operating across the UK, with origins dating back over 100 years. Today, it remains a family and employee-owned organisation, known for its client-first approach and emphasis on integrity, collaboration, and long-term thinking. The financial planning arm works closely with the wider group, offering advisers access to a broader network, referral opportunities, and a solid platform for growth.
As part of its continued expansion across Central Scotland a unique opportunity has arisen for an additional Financial adviser to join their team. With a long-standing presence in the market and strong Scottish heritage, the business has built a reputation for delivering high-quality, independent advice and maintaining long-term client relationships. The current growth plans reflect increasing demand and a commitment to strengthening their footprint in Scotland.
The Opportunity
This is a client-facing advisory position offering the chance to inherit and develop relationships while also building your own portfolio over time. They are fully flexible about managing your own diary, organising days in any of their regional offices as appropriate for you and also client needs – whether days in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Inverness, or a once a quarter visit to Shetland.
The successful candidate will provide holistic financial advice across areas including:
- Pensions and retirement planning
- Investments and savings
- Protection solutions (including individual and corporate)
- Cashflow modelling and long-term planning
You’ll work with both private and corporate clients, delivering ongoing advice and reviewing financial strategies in line with client objectives.
There is a steady flow of introductions available, alongside encouragement to develop professional connections locally (e.g. accountants, solicitors), giving you scope to grow your client base in a sustainable way.
Support & Working Environment
This role is backed by a well-structured support function, including experienced paraplanning, compliance, and administrative teams. The set-up is designed to allow advisers to spend the majority of their time with clients rather than on process-heavy tasks. You’ll be joining a collaborative and relationship-driven culture, where advisers are encouraged to work closely with colleagues across the wider group and share opportunities where appropriate.
About You
Candidates will ideally:
- Hold a Level 4 Diploma (CII or LIBF)
- Have circa 5+ years’ experience in a financial advice role
- Be confident managing client relationships and delivering tailored advice
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust quickly
- Be organised, detail-focused, and commercially aware
This role could suit an established Financial Adviser or a client-facing adviser ready to step into a broader advisory position.
Why Consider This Role?
