Ecological Clerk of Works (ECoW) - Perth & Central Belt
Looking for a hands‑on role where you can make a real impact across renewables, utilities, infrastructure, and the built environment? This field‑based position offers the chance to work on diverse projects including wind farms, solar installations, utility corridors, and housing developments.
What You’ll Do
- Conduct ecological supervision and monitoring on active construction sites
- Provide practical, site‑specific guidance to contractors and clients
- Ensure compliance with environmental legislation, planning conditions, and mitigation protocols
- Record ecological observations and incidents, producing clear, timely reports
- Communicate effectively with clients, regulators, and internal teams
What You’ll Bring
- Proven experience in ecological monitoring or ECoW roles
- Strong knowledge of UK wildlife legislation and mitigation strategies
- Confident communicator with sound judgement and problem‑solving skills
- Comfortable working independently in dynamic field environments
- Full UK driving licence

- £35,000–£40,000

Based in or near Perth, you’ll travel regularly across the Central Belt, ensuring ecological compliance and advising contractors and clients on best practice for habitat protection and species mitigation.
