E&P Finance Analyst

We're looking for a proactive Finance Analyst to join our E&P client on a 4-5 month contract basis. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with data, forecasting and reporting, and partnering with stakeholders across the business to provide financial insight and support decision-making.

What you'll be doing:

• Supporting the annual planning and forecasting process, including monthly forecasts and long-term plans.
• Preparing performance reports, financial analysis, and management information.
• Coordinating forecast inputs from teams across Finance to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
• Supporting shareholder and management reporting using systems such as SAP, BW, BPC, Power BI, and Excel.
• Identifying opportunities to improve reporting, forecasting, and finance processes through automation and efficiency.

What we're looking for:

• Experience in a finance, reporting, or analytical role.
• Strong Excel skills and experience working with financial systems.
• Ability to analyse data, challenge assumptions, and provide meaningful insights.
• Confident communicator who can build relationships across the business.
• Self-motivated, organised, and able to manage multiple deadlines.

Desirable:

• Part-qualified or qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW, or ICAS).
• Experience with SAP, BW, BPC, and Power BI.
• Knowledge of the energy sector or upstream taxation.

This contract role sits within IR35.
