Stock Controller

Motherwell Area |Full Time, Permanent | Up to £32,000

We're recruiting for a Stock Controller to join a successful food manufacturing and distribution business. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop a long-term career with a company that has a strong track record of promoting from within.

The role is approximately 80% office-based, focusing on stock administration, purchasing, inventory management and reporting, with 20% spent carrying out stock counts and inventory audits.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage stock accuracy across onsite and offsite locations
• Maintain inventory records and update stock management systems
• Order ingredients and packaging from approved suppliers
• Resolve invoice discrepancies with suppliers and internal teams
• Support supplier relationships and technical compliance
• Conduct stock counts and investigate stock variances
• Monitor stock availability and storage compliance
• Support audits and continuous improvement initiatives

About You:

• Previous experience within stock control, inventory, stores or supply chain administration
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Good Microsoft Excel and IT skills
• Proactive and self-motivated approach
• Strong problem-solving abilities
• FMCG, food manufacturing or production experience would be advantageous

Hours:

• Monday to Friday, 6am to 2.30pm

Salary:

• Up to £32,000
