Packing Operative – Temporary to Permanent Opportunity
Location: Edinburgh
Hourly Rate: £12.50 
Contract: Initially 8 weeks (potential for permanent role)

Hours:

Monday–Thursday: 8:30am–12:30pm, 1:00pm–4:30pm
Friday: 8:30am–12:30pm, 1:00pm–2:00pm

About the Role
We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Packing Operative to join a busy production team. This role is based on the packaging side of the factory floor and involves working with small machinery and computer systems to complete customer orders accurately.

Key Responsibilities:

• Pack products from bagging and weighing machines into packs and boxes.
• Use computer systems to process orders and arrange courier shipments.
• Operate small machinery such as automatic bag fillers, grinders, and heat sealers (full training provided).
• Assist with assembling and packing orders.
• Support production staff during quieter periods with stock packing and general cleaning duties.

What We’re Looking For:

• Basic computer skills (essential).
• Previous factory or packaging experience helpful but not essential – full training provided.
• Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Driving licence is a bonus (occasional local deliveries).
