Eden Scott is delighted to be working with an organisation that owns luxury serviced apartments.
They offer an oasis of calm in the heart of Edinburgh. High ceilings and period features define the space, and every apartment comprises thoughtfully curated furnishings and impeccable interiors.
Originally a grand townhouse, the development has been configured into a collection of beautiful apartments and studios that maintain the integrity of the building, giving guests the chance to experience the beauty of Edinburgh’s historical architecture.
An additional building has also been purchased close to the Castle bringing the collection to a total of 16 apartments suitable for the leisure and business market.
My client is now seeking an experienced and detail-driven Operations Manager to join the team to oversee the day-to-day running of this portfolio of high-end studios in Edinburgh city centre.
This role is responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences, maintaining luxury standards, and ensuring operational efficiency across all departments. The ideal candidate will combine strong leadership skills with a passion for hospitality excellence and a hands-on approach to property management.
Key responsibilities of the role:
Operational Management
* Oversee daily operations across all studios, ensuring smooth and efficient performance
* Implement and maintain operational procedures in line with brand standards
* Monitor occupancy, rates, and revenue performance, working closely with reservations and sales teams
* Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and local licensing requirements
Guest Experience
* Maintain a consistently high standard of guest service aligned with luxury hospitality expectations
* Handle guest feedback, complaints, and special requests promptly and professionally
* Drive initiatives to enhance guest satisfaction and online reputation
* Look after 24 hours phone and take action if necessary
Team Leadership
* Recruit, train, and manage front-of-house, housekeeping, and maintenance teams
* Foster a positive, accountable, and service-oriented team culture
Housekeeping & Maintenance Oversight
* Ensure apartments are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and functionality
* Coordinate preventative maintenance schedules and manage external contractors
* Conduct regular inspections of apartments and communal areas
Financial & Commercial Performance
* Manage departmental budgets and control operating costs
* Identify opportunities to increase revenue and improve profitability
* Review financial reports and KPIs, taking corrective action where needed
Key skills and experience required:
* Proven experience in an operations management role within hospitality, ideally serviced apartments, boutique hotels, or luxury accommodation
* Strong leadership and team management skills
* Commercial awareness with experience managing budgets and KPIs
* Knowledge of property management systems (PMS) and booking platforms
* Familiarity with Edinburgh’s hospitality market is advantageous

This role offers an excellent competitive salary within the range of £40,000 - £50,000 depending on experience.
