Management Accountant (Part-Time, 6-Month FTC)

Salary: £35,000–£40,000 per annum (pro rata), dependent on experience
Hours: Choice of 21–28 hours per week, with flexibility across 3, 4 or 5 days
Contract: 6-month fixed term, with potential to become permanent
Location: Edinburgh office (hybrid) or fully remote within the UK

A growing and innovative organisation is seeking a Management Accountant to join its finance team on a part-time, fixed-term basis. This role is well-suited to someone who enjoys hands-on involvement in month-end processes while also supporting day-to-day financial operations in a fast-paced environment.

About the Organisation

The business is experiencing continued growth across the UK and internationally, with a focus on innovation and scalability. You’ll be joining a small, collaborative finance team where adaptability and a proactive approach are highly valued.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Supporting the preparation of monthly management accounts, including accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Calculating deferred and accrued revenue accurately
  • Reconciling customer payments within the accounting system
  • Managing customer invoicing through the organisation’s billing platform
  • Conducting credit control activities and supporting cash collection to maintain healthy cash flow
  • Overseeing the purchase ledger and processing supplier invoices
  • Supporting the Finance Manager with ad hoc tasks and ongoing process improvements

What You’ll Bring

  • Previous experience in a Management Accounts or similar finance role
  • Strong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
  • Comfortable working to deadlines, particularly around month-end
  • Experience with accounting systems (e.g. Xero or similar) is desirable
  • A proactive and hands-on approach, suited to a small team environment
