FP&A Specialist

Eden Scott is supporting a well-established manufacturing business in Livingston as they invest in a newly created Financial Planning & Analysis Lead position. This opportunity represents a key hire in the ongoing transformation of their finance function and will play a pivotal role in improving financial insight, discipline, and business partnering across the site.

This is an ideal role for a technically strong, analytically minded finance professional who enjoys shaping processes, improving reporting capability, and influencing operational stakeholders. The Opportunity

Working closely with the Financial Controller, you will take ownership of FP&A activity for a full P&L manufacturing site. This includes building robust budgeting and forecasting frameworks, enhancing financial reporting, and driving a more proactive, insight-driven approach to performance management.

You will play a key role in strengthening internal controls and SOX compliance across the site, ensuring sound financial governance and providing confidence in the integrity of financial data. As the company continues its operational and cultural evolution, this role will be central to improving the quality, accuracy, and timeliness of financial information used to drive decision-making.

This is a highly visible role with regular interaction across operations, supply chain, engineering, commercial teams, and senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning cycles.
• Produce insightful reporting for weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual performance.
• Improve financial discipline and accuracy across the site through strong analytical frameworks.
• Strengthen internal controls and own SOX compliance responsibilities.
• Partner with operational managers to improve cost control, margin performance and data accuracy.

About You

• Qualified or part-qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ICAS) or equivalent experience and who is hungry for a career challenge.
• Strong analytical capability, ideally with experience in FP&A, management accounting or commercial finance.
• Excellent Excel skills and comfort handling complex datasets.
• Experience working within a manufacturing or engineering environment (desirable).
• Knowledge of internal controls, SOX, audit or compliance frameworks (desirable).
