Financial Planning Analyst

Due to an internal secondment, our client are looking for a Financial Planning Analyst (on a contract basis) to support in Joint Venture Accounting in compliance with the JOA's. To be considered you will be have demonstrable experience within the upstream industry and ideally be fully qualified, CIMA, CA or ACCA. An attractive day rate is on offer for the right candidate.

Based in the city centre, our E&P client operate a hybrid working arrangement and a compressed working week plus an onsite, subsidised canteen is available.  

The role entails:  

•    Acting as the Finance Representative for Hydrocarbon Accounting, responsible for revenue reporting, over/underlift and associated reconciliations 
•    Ensuring all UK 3rd party recharges are billed and received in a timely manner 
•    Preparation of UK annual budget & 5 year business plan 
•    Preparation of the JV cost Budget and forecast process in support of Operated Assets 
•    Preparation of monthly re-forecasts including the associated variance analysis commentary 
•    Preparation of month end VOWD / Accruals 
•    Checking and coding of supplier invoices ensuring costs are allocated to the correct ventures
•    Support the successful delivery of JV Multi Venture Audit
•    Support the delivery of monthly balance sheet reconciliations
•    Provide mentorship to the Finance Placement in order to develop their knowledge of JV Accounting
