A leading national financial advice firm is seeking a Financial Adviser to support the expansion of its Edinburgh presence following a recent acquisition. With the acquisition expected to be finalised in the coming months, the firm anticipates welcoming new clients and increasing demand for expert financial planning. This opportunity is ideal for an adviser who has been signed off for the past 2–3 years, ready to take the next step in their career with the backing of a well-resourced and reputable national firm and also take on an available client base, while also playing a key role in building and developing new client relationships as the Edinburgh office grows.
They will be supported by dedicated paraplanning and administrative teams, ensuring they can focus on delivering high-quality, client-centric financial advice.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver holistic financial planning across pensions, investments, protection, and tax-efficient strategies.
- Manage and grow a portfolio of 50–70 established households, with an average value of 350k+
- Build, nurture, and develop new client relationships in the Edinburgh market.
- Ensure all advice adheres to regulatory requirements and the firm’s high compliance standards.
- Work seamlessly with paraplanners and administrators to ensure exceptional client service.
Skills & Experience
- 2–3 years’ experience as a practising Financial Adviser.
- Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (or equivalent).
- Ambition to progress professionally; Chartered status or progression toward it is advantageous.
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while embracing a collaborative team culture.
