Eden Scott Accountancy & Finance are delighted to be partnering with a growing, forward-thinking accountancy practice in Glasgow City Centre during a particularly exciting period of expansion. As the business continues to scale, they’re looking to bring in a proactive and hands-on Senior Bookkeeper/Manager who can truly make their mark - leading the team, shaping processes, driving workflow efficiency, and playing a key role in onboarding and supporting a growing client base.

The Role

As Senior Bookkeeper/Manager, you will:

• Lead, coach and mentor a growing bookkeeping team
• Manage workflow and ensure smooth delivery across the client portfolio
• Oversee onboarding of new clients and maintain strong working relationships
• Support and develop junior team members
• Bring structure, organisation and a proactive approach to day-to-day operations

Person Specification

• A UK accountancy-practice background is essential
• Strong experience in bookkeeping, management accounts and client communication
• Proven ability to coach, mentor and manage a team
• Confident managing workflow, deadlines and client expectations
• Strong working knowledge of cloud accounting software (e.g., Xero)
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of processes
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
• Experience onboarding new clients and improving internal processes
• Exposure to training or developing junior staff
• Experience working with a varied portfolio of SME clients
• Knowledge of payroll or VAT processes
