The role
They’re seeking an enthusiastic, capable individual to provide maternity cover across finance and office management. You’ll work closely with the Finance Director, supporting core accounting processes while also ensuring the wider team is organised, informed, and well supported.
It’s a role for someone who enjoys being at the centre of operations - someone practical, proactive, and confident juggling a broad remit. You’ll be part of a close-knit team and will make a meaningful impact from day one.

What you’ll be doing
Finance
- Processing payments, invoices, income and receipts across the business
- Managing sales and purchase ledgers, bank reconciliations and quarterly VAT returns
- Supporting month-end close, management accounts and financial reporting
- Overseeing payroll and expenses to ensure accuracy and timeliness
- Assisting the Finance Director and external accountants during year-end
Office & Admin
- Acting as the first point of contact for enquiries via phone, email, website and social channels
- Maintaining organised digital and physical filing systems
- Managing key platforms including Office 365, HR systems and property/booking software
- Supporting the management team with calendars, meetings and general coordination
- Overseeing vehicle compliance, utilities, insurance, Health & Safety and property-related administration
What it takes
You don’t need sector-specific experience - what matters most is enthusiasm, accuracy, and a practical mindset. You’ll enjoy being part of a busy, varied team and take pride in doing things properly.
- Experience in a finance or bookkeeping role (Xero essential)
- Comfortable with VAT, reconciliations and month-end processes
- Organised, proactive and confident managing a varied workload independently
- Strong communicator who’s equally comfortable with people and spreadsheets
