A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Paraplanner to join a highly professional and close-knit wealth planning team based in the City of London. This is a full-time, permanent role offering interesting and varied work within a supportive environment that values quality advice and technical excellence.

The Role:

As a Paraplanner, you will provide technical support to the Head of Wealth Planning and the wider advisory team, ensuring a high standard of service is delivered to clients. The role involves in-depth financial analysis, cashflow modelling, and the preparation of detailed suitability reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyse client information to develop financial planning solutions aligned to client objectives.
  • Extensive use of cashflow modelling to support retirement and estate planning strategies.
  • Prepare high-quality suitability/recommendation reports.
  • Conduct fund switch research and produce related documentation.
  • Produce withdrawal letters and manage necessary client/provider correspondence.
  • Contact clients to schedule meetings or obtain information as required.
  • Liaise with providers and third parties to clarify technical points and gather additional information.
  • Carry out research and analysis using industry-recognised tools such as Voyant and FE Analytics.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience within the financial services sector, ideally working with complex client scenarios.
  • Excellent knowledge of financial planning, pensions, and investments.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Highly proficient in the use of financial planning software and cashflow modelling tools (e.g., Voyant, FE Analytics).
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong attention to detail, proactive attitude, and ability to work independently.
  • Adaptable and open to feedback with a genuine enthusiasm to grow within a dynamic and ambitious firm.
  • Good financial and mathematical literacy.

Qualifications:

Minimum requirement: Chartered Financial Planner qualification or working towards it (or equivalent).

Salary and Benefits:

  • Salary between £50,000 and £65,000 depending on experience and qualifications.
  • Discretionary annual bonus.
  • Other comprehensive benefits.
  • Hybrid working model (4 days in the office and 1 day from home).
  • Working hours: 9:00 am – 5:30 pm.
