Vision for Education is on the look-out for nominations for South Tyneside’s annual Unsung Hero Awards, which recognise the dedication, hard work and achievements of pupils at school, college or in their local community.
Twelve secondary and SEND schools and colleges across South Tyneside are taking part in the awards, which are sponsored by Vision for Education.
All participating schools and colleges will select a winner to go through to the Unsung Hero Celebration Evening at The Customs House in South Shields at 6.30pm on Thursday 7th July. It's sure to be a fun-filled evening, with each school also nominating their own entertainment act to perform alongside the awards.
Gareth Gaston, Vision for Education's Northern Regional Manager, said "I am very excited that we are once again hosting and sponsoring the Unsung Hero and South Tyneside's Got Talent celebration evening. The event is always incredibly uplifting, with stories of students overcoming adversity or going out of their way to support others. It’s also a great opportunity to watch some incredibly talented young people perform on stage. I can’t wait to hear the inspirational stories and watch this years talented young people."
To nominate a pupil for an award, complete our online Unsung Hero form, or pick up a nominations form from the reception of a participating school or college. The closing date for nominations is Friday 6th of May 2022.
