Job Description:

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to play a pivotal role in advancing renewable energy projects. Reporting to the Operations & Grid Director, you will lead efforts to optimise grid connections, perform feasibility studies, and ensure regulatory compliance for a portfolio of renewable energy sites. The Electrical Engineer will drive innovation and efficiency while mentoring junior engineers, contributing to the company’s vision of a sustainable energy future.

Key Responsibilities:

• Optimise grid connections and support grid assessments.
• Conduct feasibility studies, technical assessments, and site analyses.
• Prepare and submit G99 and/or transmission applications.
• Oversee grid connection contracts and manage related payments.
• Handle technical, legal, and commercial queries in grid offers.
• Enhance efficiencies through data analysis of operational assets.
• Develop technical specifications and tender requirements.
• Ensure compliance with UK regulations and safety protocols.
• Provide training and mentorship to team members.

Skills & Experience:

Essential:

• Degree or HNC+ in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in renewable energy networks or consultancy.
• Proficiency in HV/EHV systems.
• Strong interest in decarbonization and net-zero initiatives.
