Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and evaluate suppliers to ensure they deliver materials that meet our high-quality standards.
  • Conduct on-site visits to supplier facilities to assess their manufacturing processes and adherence to standards.
  • Perform regular quality audits to ensure compliance with both industry regulations and company requirements.
  • Inspect incoming materials, in-process components, and final products to detect defects and non-conformities.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports on supplier quality performance, including defect rates and corrective action plans.
  • Offer technical guidance to suppliers to help them minimize defects and enhance their processes.
  • Design and implement quality control strategies and procedures to maintain consistent product quality.
  • Collaborate closely with manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain teams to resolve quality issues and prevent their recurrence.
  • Analyze quality data, utilize statistical methods, and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Participate in risk assessments and FMEA processes to identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Lead investigations into quality issues, conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.

Skills & Experience:

  • Degree or HND in a relevant technical discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in a quality engineering role, preferably within a manufacturing or engineering setting.
  • Background in Chemical engineering or a related chemical-based degree is advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of quality management principles and methodologies, such as SPC, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and Root Cause Analysis.
  • Experience with supplier audits (IATF16949/VDA6.3) and New Product Introduction processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Willingness to travel, including international trips, often at short notice.
