Job Description

As a Materials Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing materials across the supply chain to ensure operational excellence. You will lead a team of up to 40 professionals and oversee end-to-end material flow, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality materials at the right cost. This position demands strategic thinking, problem-solving, and the ability to foster continuous improvement initiatives across cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing material supply processes to achieve on-time, in-full delivery goals.
  • Leading inventory accuracy improvements and implementing strategies to optimise inventory levels.
  • Driving operational excellence through Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to identify supply gaps and mitigate risks proactively.
  • Managing the development and implementation of a new ERP system.
  • Leading, mentoring, and inspiring your team to achieve individual and organisational goals.

Skills & Experience

To excel as a Materials Manager, you will need:

  • Proven leadership experience in supply chain, materials management, or logistics.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills with a data-driven approach.
  • Knowledge of ERP/WMS systems and Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Excellent collaboration, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
  • A degree in a relevant field (e.g., Supply Chain, Operations, Logistics) is preferred.
