Job Description

As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician, you will play a key role in the engineering team, preferably with an electrical bias, ensuring effective maintenance to cover the factory. Responsibilities include:

• Maintaining plant and equipment to meet business and legal standards.
• Improving machine efficiency and preventing unplanned downtime.
• Developing and supporting the Planned Preventative Maintenance System with recommendations for improvements.
• Completing checklists to ensure adherence to maintenance plans.
• Supporting the introduction of new manufacturing equipment and services.
• Liaising with equipment suppliers and contractors for repairs and breakdowns.

Skills & Experience

Essential:

• Electrical/Mechanical engineering experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Proficiency in PLC programming and interrogation (Siemens S7/S5, Allen Bradley, Omron, Yaskawa).
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations Certificate.
• Experience with load cell tension control and working with three-phase/single-phase circuits.
• Ability to work at heights using access equipment.
• ONC qualification in a relevant discipline.

Desirable:

• HNC qualification.
• IOSH or Health & Safety certification.
• Compex (DSEAR) qualification.
• Valid UK driving licence (preferred).
