Job Description: We are looking for a time-served Maintenance Engineer (Automation & PLCs) with extensive experience in automation systems and PLCs, including Siemens and Omron. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing automated equipment across the site. The Maintenance Engineer will handle both reactive and preventative maintenance tasks, ensuring high equipment reliability and minimizing downtime.

Key responsibilities include diagnosing faults, performing root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions. As a Maintenance Engineer (Automation & PLCs), you will play a vital role in continuous improvement initiatives, working closely with the operations team to enhance process efficiency.

Skills & Experience: To excel as a Maintenance Engineer (Automation & PLCs), you will need:

  • A time-served apprenticeship with a relevant engineering qualification
  • Strong experience with automation systems and PLCs (Siemens and Omron)
  • Proven track record in fault diagnosis and problem-solving
  • Programming upon a range of machinery and PLC's 
  • Hands-on experience with preventative maintenance and repairs
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Desirable skills include experience in robotics, HMI programming, and familiarity with other PLC brands.
