Your role as a Bookkeeper:

• Maintain accurate accounting records for both the firm and a portfolio of 10-15 clients.
• Prepare and deliver timely management accounts and VAT returns.
• Reconcile bank accounts, post payroll journals, and manage month-end processes.
• Assist with internal financial reconciliations and system improvements.
• Collaborate with partners to support data-driven decision-making and practice development.
• Engage directly with clients to provide bookkeeping support and advice.

What you'll need to succeed:

• AAT Level 4 qualified, with at least 5 years of relevant experience in practice or industry.
• Strong technical knowledge of bookkeeping (including VAT, payroll, bank reconciliations, depreciation, accruals/prepayments).
• Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with software such as Xero, Sage, and QuickBooks.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills-confident in client-facing conversations.
• Self-motivated and curious with a desire to improve systems and broaden skills.
