A local CPA public accounting firm is seeking a Junior Tax Accountant to join their team!

The Junior Tax Accountant will assist in preparing and reviewing tax returns, supporting tax compliance activities, and providing general accounting support. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for a recent graduate or for someone who already has some tax exposure!

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and other entities
• Assist with tax planning and compliance activities to ensure adherence to tax laws and regulations
• Support senior accountants and tax managers with tax research and documentation
• Maintain organized tax records and documentation for audits and reviews
• Assist with the preparation of financial statements and general ledger reconciliations as needed
• Communicate with clients and tax authorities under supervision
• Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations
• Participate in tax audits and support responses to inquiries

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required
• Tax coursework, internship, or previous tax related work experience is mandatory
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
