Responsibilities:
Project-to-Cash Leadership
- Oversee end-to-end processes: POs, vendor bills, customer invoicing, collections.
- Ensure timely, accurate project-level financial performance and reporting.
- Collaborate with project delivery teams to align financial workflows with client contracts.
Operational Excellence
- Own systems and workflows in NetSuite, Ramp, Tesario, driving automation and data integrity.
- Standardize and streamline billing, AP, and collections processes.
- Create KPIs, dashboards, and reporting to monitor performance and drive improvement.
Team Management
- Lead and mentor a growing team (billing, collections, AP/procurement).
- Build a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Act as a hands-on leader—balancing strategic direction with tactical execution.
Governance & Controls
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP and internal controls.
- Strengthen financial operations in preparation for audits, growth, and potential liquidity events.
Requirements:
- 8+ years of progressive financial operations experience, including 3+ years in leadership roles.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA preferred).
- Experience in project-based industries (e.g., services, construction, engineering, or consulting).
- Proven success leading billing, collections, AP/procurement, and vendor management.
- Deep familiarity with financial systems such as NetSuite (required), Ramp, and Tesario.
- Experience in a PE-backed or high-growth environment is a strong plus.
