Operations Administrator (Cargo Services)
Eden Scott Client is seeking an Operations Administrator to join their Cargo Services team on a 6-month fixed-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in supporting the smooth and efficient operation of a busy cargo environment, providing vital administrative support across a range of operational activities.
The Role
As Operations Administrator, you will be responsible for supporting the efficient handling of documentation and administrative processes within the Cargo Services function. You will help ensure that records, reports, compliance documentation and communications are managed accurately and within required timescales, contributing to the overall success of the operation.
This is a varied and hands-on role that will suit someone who thrives in a busy environment, enjoys working with multiple stakeholders, and has a strong eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Cargo Services team and maintain departmental documentation to a high standard.
- Support staff administration activities, including absence records, communications and liaison with HR regarding onboarding and employee documentation.
- Assist with airline compliance audits and maintain accurate training records in line with regulatory requirements.
- Support stock and consumables record keeping, ensuring electronic databases remain accurate and up to date.
- Assist with import and export data entry, operational reporting and monthly management information.
- Provide billing administration support to ensure accurate and timely month-end invoicing.
- Communicate professionally with customers and stakeholders via telephone and email.
- Coordinate travel and accommodation arrangements for external training courses.
- Welcome and support visitors attending operational meetings.
- Maintain robust document control procedures and ensure confidential information is stored securely.
Person Specification
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous administration experience within a busy operational, logistics, transport or similar environment.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience handling confidential and sensitive information professionally.
- The ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- A proactive approach, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
